Taliesin Owen

Taliesin, 23, resides in Furnace, Ceredigion, Wales. His journey into film began at Coleg Ceredigion, where he studied Media Production, and later pursued Film Production at the University of Salford. There, he immersed himself in various aspects of filmmaking, including cinematography, scriptwriting, storytelling, editing, and directing. In his final year project, due to a small crew, he shouldered directing, scriptwriting, and editing roles. The film received a top grade and clinched the staff choice award among over 300 peers, highlighting his expertise in the field.

Rachel Williams

Rachel is a sociologist, musician and socialist activist. She currently works as a social researcher in education, conducting studies in schools with teachers and pupils. As a singer and songwriter, her music explores themes of mortality, collective trauma and impending climate catastrophe. She has orchestrated a number of fundraising events for causes such as refugee crisis support and Palestine solidarity campaigns and has been a vehement anti-racist and anti-austerity campaigner from a very young age. She can help those in the Dyfi community with anything from events planning and management to proof reading research proposals and brainstorming campaigns.

Jenő Davies

Jenő Davies, a visual artist and organiser from Carmarthenshire, honed their craft through studies in fine art at Goldsmiths University in London. Post-graduation, they delved into a realm of DIY exhibitions and performance events, collaborating with fellow artists to showcase their work in unconventional settings, including a daring exhibition precariously timed between tides on the banks of the River Thames. Later, Jenő co-founded Twmpath, an arts collective dedicated to promoting and generating queer arts in rural Wales. Their contributions culminated in a notable event at Braich Goch in Corris in 2022. Now based in Machynlleth, they continue to evolve as an artist, focusing on 3D works and film while actively engaging in local collective arts projects.

Finn McCormack

Finn is a musician and producer with a passion for unusual and quirky sounds. Following his degree in music at Leeds University, He recently completed his master's in Audio Production at the University of Salford, with the aspiration to be proficient in both the artistic and technical facets of music. Finn's areas include foley, studio recording and instrument playing, although he is most in his element when composing and recording electronic music.

Gustav Canham

Gustav Canham is a short filmmaker focusing on telling visually compelling stories inspired by the Dyfi Valley where he grew up. He is starting his degree in filmmaking (production) in Bristol aspiring to tell captivating narratives. He has worked in multiple other mediums experimenting with fashion and photography and with experience in blacksmithing and silversmithing which inform his creative process when it comes to film.

Ana Baldini

Ana has a BA in Fine Art from Chelsea College of Art in London, where she worked primarily with film and installation. She subsequently worked as a Production Designer, having her work featured on the BBC, Sundance Film Festival, BFI Film Festival, amongst others. Nowadays Ana is one half of the directing partnership Idioma Pictures.

Roly Witherow

Roly  is a filmmaker and musician. As a composer for film, his credits include Gregor (2014), nominated in the British Independent Film Awards, Channel 4’s All Around (2020), and Interactive Film Five Dates, nominated for a BAFTA Cymru in 2023. Roly’s own music explores Art-Rock and Folk music, and his debut album Ballads and Yarns (2020) was reviewed in The Guardian’s Folk album of the month. Roly also writes and directs films with his wife Ana Baldini and DOP Will Tremlett. Together, they have made short film Bomb Shelter (2022), Névoa (2023) and are currently in pre-production on a feature comedy drama Kiss And Be Friends.

Paige Janey

Paige is a versatile artist, residing in South London, with a passion for acting, music, directing, and producing. Currently pursuing studies at The University of the Arts London, Paige has delved into a wide array of creative ventures. Her repertoire includes self-produced projects, notably a short biopic dedicated to Kate Bush, a captivating dystopian adaptation of Lord of The Flies, and her most recent endeavour involves coordinating intimate scenes for an upcoming feature film slated for release in 2024.
